Indeed, the knife is a collection piece made of the iron from the top of the Eiffel Tower ! It is the gift for the chief of the states from city of Paris.

To celebrate the 120th anniversary of this worldwide famous monument, FORGE DE LAGUIOLE designed in collaboration with the Société
d’Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel (Eiffel Tower Operating Company) a unique series made from Eiffel Tower puddled (pure structural) iron. The
original iron corners were removed from the top of the Eiffel Tower in the early 80s. Carefully preserved, the iron had never been used for
any other purpose. Real collectors’ pieces, these knives are manufactured without polishing or shaping of the material, it is directly cut in
the iron, preserving its original paint finish. The handle is then riveted to the blade to maintain the mechanism.

“Eiffel Tower Collector Galbe” This model is reminiscent of the stylised curve of the Eiffel Tower. The blade is made from
T12 stainless steel (matt finish). “Tour Eiffel 1889-2009” is engraved on one side of the blade. This knife is produced in
limited and numbered edition of 120 pieces. This knife is in a beautiful FORGE DE LAGUIOLE gift box (the inside is lined
with Aubrac Leather). The knife is accompanied by a piece of pure structural or puddled iron and a certificate of
authentication confirming that the handle of the knife is made from authentic and original Eiffel Tower iron.

The Laguiole’s knives

The Laguiole knife is a high-quality traditional Occitan pocket-knife, originally produced in the town of Laguiole in the Aveyron region of southern France. The word laguiole is a generic term, not legally restricted to any one company or place of manufacture but our are strictly produced in France, according to traditional method in the best cutlery area. Those knife are very elegant, famous but very useful too. They are all hand made using the best materials, so just tell which handle do you prefer.

Aile de Pigeon, come back from 19th century.

This model is a replica of Laguiole’s nineteenth century. It were almost made ​​of ivory and was offered in Aveyron’s richest families.
Now we mainly use horn tip for the handle, which is hand-carved and chiselled according to the shape “Pigeon Wing”. the spring Stainless Steel 3 mm thick, tempered and polished is provided with a stop blade and a massive bee forged in the mass.
